"One Tribe, Many Voices" Podcast Musings

Exactly two months ago I jumped back into my role as podcast radio host.I absolutely love preparing and recording my weekly podcast radio show.It fulfills a dream that I had when I was a teenager; of being a part-time radio host. Thanks to the Internet,I can create my own independent radio experience and distribute it worldwide without any corporate support! How cool is that?

I've been interviewed many times by different media but doing radio has always excited me the most. A few years ago, a good friend of mine gave up his spot as one of the top world music radio hosts in Los Angeles. He suggested that I fill the void of his show and submit a proposal for a new show on public radio.Though I wasn't able to take advantage of his suggestion, these days I can see my podcast audience growing at a rapid pace.

There is one strange aspect to podcasting; a lack of audience feedback!

Even though my web page at rain.podomatic.com has a tab for comments, many of my listeners access the RSS feed and never do arrive at my web page. So, though I am very happy and grateful for the continued attentions of listeners, I am yearning to actually hear from my audience. One thing I have always loved about radio is the call-in line or dedication line. I hope that more people will post comments or leave mp3 voice messages at rainpeople@podOmatic.com.
