Rasheed's Birthday April 13th, 2009

I'm happy to still be here, above ground, in this plane of existence on planet Earth.

We all have a path to follow and mine has mostly been working through my artistic expression to touch the lives of others. Music and the Visual Arts have continued to serve my well. The new frontiers of Citizen Journalism and New Media have allowed me an uncommon access into the lives of countless listeners and viewers worldwide.

For those who may read this and wonder aloud if Rasheed Ali & Rain People still exist in the world of live performance: I have not abandoned my mission to bring Rain People's multi-language sound of African Diaspora music to difference parts of the world. Like the Phoenix Bird we shall rise again from our current abyss of hiatus!

I want to personally thank each and every one of my supporters. Those who have bought my CDs and downloaded my music, those who regularly listen to my podcast radio show, those who connect with me on the various social networking sites, those who write me encouragement and acknowledgement through this blog and those who help me to continue my mission against all odds! THANK YOU ALL!
